What attracted you to this property?
Getting to see the hotel and all that it offers blew my mind. The thoughtful touches throughout every floor truly set this hotel apart from any other I've ever been in.
When did you first know that you wanted to pursue a career in this field?
I've been bartending for years and I've always been very personable, so when I heard Hotel Bennett was hiring, I was happy to apply.
What makes you passionate about the hospitality industry?
I love meeting new people. I try my hardest to make my first impression a positive and lasting one every time, so getting to be a part of a hospitality staff is something I wish I'd gotten into years ago since it comes so naturally. I believe you should always treat people the way you want to be treated. I always try to greet every person I come in contact with a smile and a warm greeting.
What is the most important lesson that you've learned since joining the Salamander Team?
Everyone staying or even just visiting this hotel is looking for and expecting five star quality service. Luxury isn't just expensive taste, it's about making things personal and making an emotional connection with as many guests as possible.
What's been one of the most inspirational moments you've experienced in your career so far?
I was told that I turned someone's day around with my smile and personality while bartending an event recently. It just goes to show you that kindness and compassion mixed with some light humor truly go a long way.
Share a piece of advice you've received in your career that has stuck with you and made a significant impact.
Speaking professionally makes people respect you more, take you more seriously, and hold you in higher regard. It leaves that positive, lasting impression I strive for.
In your opinion, where is the best spot to visit at the resort and why?
The observatory or the King's Club. The view is breathtaking.
What is one thing most people don't know about you?
I have been a singer my entire life and have been in several bands and won several competitions.
What is one thing you can't live without?
My children.
What are some of your favorite hobbies?
Singing, acting, photography, art and comedy.
If you had the power to master one skill instantly, what would it be?
I've actually always wanted to be a qualified tattoo artist.
What is a passion project or personal goal you're actively pursuing outside of work
We are currently remodeling our home and outside of that, I've been pushing my career as a photographer.
What would your perfect weekend look like?
A trip to an amusement/water park, drinks at a roof top bar watching the sunset, and experiencing something new I've never tried before like ziplining or skydiving.
Who is your hero and why?
I have many heroes, but one is definitely Oprah. She is living proof that it's never too late to become a success or to pursue what you love.
What travel destination is on your bucket list?
I really want to travel to England. I've always wanted to see the sights and experience Europe.

The face on the milk carton.

The tearing down of the Berlin Wall.

Clemson.

Chinese or ribeye steak.

Typically pop, but Lady Gaga and Adele are my favorite singers.

The Office and Adventure Time.

I'm a mother of two, a dog mom of three and a partner to one. I'm here to put my best foot forward and bring the best I can offer to the table to provide for my family.
