Carla Carroll’s passion for hospitality began at Georgia Southern University, where she earned her degree in Tourism and Commercial Recreation in 2001. She launched her career with an internship at The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island, before joining Old Overton Country Club in Alabama as Director of Aquatics and Tennis Pro Shop Manager, where she led youth programs and special events. Her journey then took her to Destin, Florida, where she played a pivotal role in developing the wedding and special events industry for WaterColor Inn & Resort under Noble House Hotels & Resorts and The St. Joe Company. After seven years at WaterColor, she continued with Noble House for Kona Kai Resort & Spa in San Diego.

In 2014, Carla returned to her home state of Georgia to serve as National Sales Manager for the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau. Three years later, she joined Salamander Collection, where she has spent nearly eight years as Director of Global Sales. In this role, she leads brand ambassador efforts for the Southeast and West Coast markets, helping to drive awareness and revenue for Salamander’s distinctive portfolio of luxury properties.

At Salamander Collection, Steven Lewis leads sales development throughout the Mid-Atlantic, and Midwest regions, specializing in incentive house accounts. With over 15 years of experience in industry sales, Steven previously held pivotal roles in group sales for resorts and urban independent properties and collections. Steven holds a specialized Associate Degree in Golf Management and a Bachelor Degree in Business Administration.

April Hays is the Director of Global Group Sales for Salamander Collection, overseeing the Northeast U.S. and Canadian markets. She represents Salamander Collection’s portfolio of one-of-a-kind hotels and resorts, delivering exceptional experiences for group clients. With nearly 20 years of experience in hospitality sales, April has held key roles at prestigious brands such as Belmond, Hyatt, and Rosewood Hotels & Resorts. April is passionate about building lasting partnerships and crafting memorable client experiences; she is based just outside New York City.

 

Briana Lilja

Briana Lilja has been in the Aspen, Colorado, market since 2013, and joined the Aspen Meadows Resort sales team in 2024. She started her career as a Summer Event Intern at The Little Nell and quickly moved into positions in catering and group sales. Briana has a deep understanding of the Aspen Institute and a long-standing relationship with programs who meet annually in Aspen. She lives in the Vail Valley with her husband and son.

With over 30 years of experience in the hospitality and tourism industry, Sharon Logan is a dynamic leader specializing in sales and for the past two decades, has been an integral part of Half Moon; Jamaica’s most iconic and highest rated luxury destination. In her role, she oversees sales, weddings and convention services, ensuring seamless, world class experiences for guests. 

Sharon is passionate about relationship building and strategic growth. She thrives on mentoring and developing teams, fostering a culture of excellence. Beyond her professional achievements, she is a Soccer and Track & Field enthusiast who also enjoys travelling, cooking and entertaining.

A native South Carolinian, Collin Carter joins Hotel Bennett after spending four years at Sonesta Resort Hilton Head Island. Following his time in operational management, he held the title of Sales Manager and was a key player in the resort’s growing popularity. Collin studied Hospitality Management at the University of South Carolina, specializing in Hotel Development.

Rachel Frost is a seasoned professional with over 20 years of experience in hospitality sales and marketing. Rachel has successfully driven revenue growth across all segments and implemented creative marketing strategies throughout her career starting in resorts (Hyatt Regency Newport Beach) to convention hotels (Grand Hyatt Washington) to luxury (Ritz-Carlton, Washington, D.C.).  Since joining the Hotel Bennett team in 2019, Rachel and the sales team's unwavering commitment have achieved record-breaking results and fostered a culture of excellence.

Craig joined the Innisbrook team in September of 2021. With over 20 years of experience in the hospitality industry, Craig brings a wealth of knowledge to the resort. He graduated from James Madison University in 1999 with a BS in Recreation & Leisure Studies. After graduating, he worked for two internationally renowned tradeshow production companies; Discover the Palm Beaches, the Boca Raton Resort & Club, and most recently, PGA National Resort & Spa. Craig’s attributes his success to anticipating his client’s needs and providing a seamless experience for his clients. Craig enjoys spending time with his 4 children and discovering Florida’s hidden gems.

 

Patrick House

Patrick joined the Innisbrook team in January of 2025. He brings 20 years of experience in Sales & Marketing to the Collection.  Patrick played football at Delta State University and graduated in 2005 with a degree in Business Management. He started his hospitality career in the casino industry and worked his way up to Director of Sales at Pearl River Resort and the Dancing Rabbit Golf Club, a Top 100 public course in the USA. Most recently, Patrick was the General Manager of The Westin Jackson. Patrick enjoys spending time with his wife, Katie, and their three children. They are excited to be new Floridians.

 

Philippe Thevenet

Philippe is an accomplished Sales and Marketing Executive, with twenty five years of expertise working with some of the most prestigious hospitality brands such as Hyde, InterContinental, Conrad by Hilton, Autograph Collection by Marriott, Sheraton, as well as independent hotels and resorts such as Parrot Key Hotel & Villas in Key West FL. Philippe currently leads the sales & marketing operations at PGA National Resort, the newest addition to the Salamander Collection.

After a first sales experience at InterContinental Le Grand Hotel Paris, this French native built his success within the luxury segment of Hilton Hotels, first in Canada and then in several key cities in the USA such as Chicago, Indianapolis, Miami and Fort Lauderdale. Philippe was part of the opening team of the prestigious Conrad Fort Lauderdale Beach resort where he led the sales, marketing, public relations and digital efforts in successfully positioning this one-of-a-kind resort as a beacon of luxury in South Florida. 

This multifaceted international sales and marketing leader cultivates an unwavering passion for creating value and growth both for the organization that he represents as well as for the teams he leads. Throughout his extensive career, Philippe has honed in on his emotional intelligence (EQ) skills, one of the foundations of his collaborative leadership style. 

Philippe graduated from the University of Angers (France) UFR ESTHUA with a Magistère de Tourisme (master’s degree) with focus on Management and Marketing in the tourism industry.

When he is not working Philippe enjoys the outdoors, ocean swimming and sports activities. He is a food and wine enthusiast and loves to share his passion with friends and family.

Steven has been at PGA National Resort for four years. In his role as Director of Group Sales, Steven works and collaborates with Philippe, the Director of Sales & Marketing and the sales team. Steven is takes on a strategic management style for both reactive and proactive sales efforts. Steven shares the responsibility for achieving group revenue goals and guest satisfaction.

Prior to joining PGA Steven worked as Director of Group Sales at W Fort Lauderdale from 2009 to 2021. Before that, Steven worked at The Boca Raton, Conrad Miami and The Waldorf Astoria in New York City.

Her love for hospitality began with The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company, where she started in hotel operations before transitioning to sales, excelling in various roles and consistently surpassing revenue goals. As Director of Group Sales at Salamander Washington DC, Lisa leverages her deep industry expertise and client-focused approach to ensure seamless execution from initial inquiry to final farewell. She is dedicated to showcasing world-class accommodations, personalized service, and premier amenities that make Salamander Washington DC a top luxury destination.

With over 45 years of experience in luxury hospitality sales, Doug Camp brings a deep understanding of the industry and a passion for curating exceptional group experiences. As Director of Sales for Salamander Middleburg, Doug is dedicated to driving group business and meetings, leveraging his extensive network and expertise to create seamless and memorable events for clients. Doug's career includes an impressive tenure with some of the most renowned luxury properties in the country. He spent 20 years at Hershey Resorts in Hershey, PA, where he honed his expertise in sales and guest relations. He then transitioned to Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, VA, leading sales efforts for four years. His journey continued in Washington, DC, where he held key sales leadership roles at The Hay-Adams, The Madison, and The St. Regis.

For the past eight years, Doug has been an integral part of the Salamander team in Middleburg, Virginia, helping elevate the brand’s presence in the luxury market. His deep industry knowledge, commitment to client service, and strategic approach to group sales make him an asset to Salamander Collection. Doug is passionate about building lasting relationships and delivering extraordinary hospitality experiences, ensuring every event exceeds expectations.

 

Issia Thelwell

Leisure Sales Director

Issia Thelwell’s passion for Jamaica’s tourism industry inspired her to begin a career in hospitality in 2014 at Hyatt Ziva & Zilara Rose Hall. Since then, she has developed extensive expertise across Customer Service, Training & Development, Communications, and Sales & Marketing. In 2018, she joined the legendary Round Hill Hotel and Villas as Sales & Marketing Manager, where she led Transient Sales and Digital Marketing initiatives, including Social Media Management. Her leadership was further recognized when she was selected for the Caribbean Hotel and Tourism Association’s (CHTA) inaugural Young Leaders' Forum in 2019.

In 2022, Issia brought her talents to Half Moon as Senior Group Sales Manager. Her outstanding contributions earned her three Salamander 100 Club awards and led to her promotion to Director of Leisure Sales in 2023.
